Gluten Free Brownies – How to Make the Best Gluten Free Brownies at Home

Finding the best gluten-free brownies recipes can be quite the adventure if you started a quest more than five years ago when you first started questing for ways to cut sugar and carbs. Getting a chewy, crunchy texture proved to be quite a challenge, especially when you are not using gluten wheat flour. It did not help that my husband had different ideas about what the best brownie should taste like too. The end result was us both eating a brownie we could not identify as a brownie.

This ended up being the inspiration for my new ebook. What I have found from all the frustration and trial and error is that the best gluten-free brownies can be made with a few simple ingredients. What is important to remember in cooking your own homemade recipes is consistency. You need to keep in mind that the ingredients must come out in the same amount, or you will not get the same result when baking. Another thing that needs to be mentioned is that the brownie recipe you choose should use bread flour and not flour substitute.

Best Gluten-Free Brownies

To make the best gluten-free brownies ever, start with a simple brownie mix. Since I wanted to mimic the texture of a traditional brownie, it was best to use white flour. Next, you need to choose your favorite ingredients. My family normally likes vanilla and chocolate. If you cannot find those flavors in your local store, look for them online. There are many recipes available that use these two ingredients and in varying amounts.

For a flaky top, mix ingredients for chocolate chips and butter together until smooth. I prefer to do this with a wooden spoon rather than my fingers because of all the air bubbles. Once the chips and butter are smooth, add your second cup of cocoa. Stir until smooth. Now, it’s time to add your second cup of sugar.

Start off by preheating your oven. Set the oven to 350 degrees and allow your mixture to boil for about 25 minutes. Once it’s done, remove it from the oven and set it aside. It is important to allow your mixture to cool down. You can speed up the cooling process by placing it in your freezer. Once you have it frozen, it will be much easier to prepare your delicious brownies for everyone to enjoy.

Next, you’ll need to mix your dry ingredients. If you have some sugar in your cupboard, you may want to put a dash of that into your dry mix. Then, take your Instant Oatmeal and mix it in thoroughly. Then, pour your wet mix into your mixing bowl and turn it on low. Let it mix for about an additional 2 minutes so that your chocolate ganache has a chance to set.

Next, we’ll add our next ingredient, which is going to be either soy-based caramel or stevia-based caramel. These both work very well with brownie recipes. If you’re not too much of a fan of caramel, you can usually use stevia-based caramel instead. Both are great as both provide a sweet, rich taste to your brownies, but they also have zero calories, no trans fat, and no allergens.

Bottom Line

Finally, you’ll want to add your last ingredient, which should be either baking powder or brownie batter. Using a food processor or a food spray will help make the mixing of these ingredients go a lot smoother. It’s best to mix all of your ingredients using a pan that is non-stick. That way, your pan will catch any liquid that makes its way to your brownies and prevent them from spreading all over the pan. If you have a foil pan, you may want to use aluminum foil for this. Now, you’re all set and ready to enjoy your delicious brownies.
