Soy Gluten Delicious Recipes with Directions

Soy gluten is high in protein and fiber and low in fat. It is also a good source of iron and calcium. Soy gluten can be bought fresh, frozen, or canned. It can also be found in some Asian markets.

1. Soy-Glazed Salmon with Sesame Rice

Ingredients:

-1/2 cup soy sauce

-1/4 cup honey

-1 tablespoon vegetable oil

-1 teaspoon rice vinegar

-1 clove of garlic, minced

-1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

-4 (6 ounces) salmon fillets

-3 cups cooked white rice

-1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

Directions: 1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). 2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ground ginger. 3. Place salmon fillets in a baking dish, and brush with the soy sauce mixture. 4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until fish is cooked through. 5. Serve over white rice, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

2. Sesame Chicken and Noodles

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup soy sauce

-1 tablespoon honey

-1 tablespoon vegetable oil

-1 teaspoon rice vinegar

-2 cloves garlic, minced

-1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

-1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

-3 cups cooked noodles (such as lo mein or chow mein)

Directions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ground ginger. 2. In a large skillet or wok over high heat, stir-fry chicken strips in the soy sauce mixture until cooked through. 3. Add cooked noodles to the pan, and toss to combine. 4. Serve immediately.

3. Honey-Glazed Soy Chicken

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup soy sauce

-1/4 cup honey

-1 tablespoon vegetable oil

-1 teaspoon rice vinegar

-2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, and garlic. 2. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish, and brush with the soy sauce mixture. 3. Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven, or until done. 4. Serve immediately.

4. General Tso’s Chicken

Ingredients:

-1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

-1/2 cup cornstarch

-1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

-3 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the sauce:

-1/4 cup soy sauce

-1/4 cup rice vinegar

-1 tablespoon honey

-2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions: 1. In a large resealable bag, combine chicken strips, cornstarch, ginger, and vegetable oil. Seal bag, and shake to coat chicken evenly. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and garlic. 3. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add chicken strips, and cook until browned and cooked through. 4. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken, and stir to combine. 5. Serve immediately with rice.

5. Sweet and Spicy Soy Chicken

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup soy sauce

-1/4 cup ketchup

-1 tablespoon honey

-1 tablespoon vegetable oil

-1 teaspoon sriracha sauce

For the chicken:

-1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

Directions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, ketchup, honey, vegetable oil, and sriracha sauce. 2. In a large resealable bag, combine chicken strips and the soy sauce mixture. Seal bag, and shake to coat chicken evenly. 3. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add chicken strips, and cook until browned and cooked through. 4. Serve immediately with rice.

6. Orange Chicken

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup soy sauce

-1/4 cup orange juice

-1 tablespoon honey

-1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the chicken:

-1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

-1/2 cup cornstarch

Directions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, honey, and vegetable oil. 2. In a large resealable bag, combine chicken strips and cornstarch. Seal bag, and shake to coat chicken evenly. 3. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add chicken strips, and cook until browned and cooked through. 4. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken, and stir to combine. 5. Serve immediately with rice.

7. Honey-Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

-1/4 cup honey

-1 tablespoon soy sauce

-1 tablespoon vegetable oil

-3 cloves garlic, minced

For the chicken:

-1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

Directions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vegetable oil, and garlic. 2. In a large resealable bag, combine chicken strips and the honey mixture. Seal bag, and shake to coat chicken evenly. 3. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add chicken strips, and cook until browned and cooked through. 4. Serve immediately with rice.
